Skilled Nursing

Bishop White Lodge, our on-site Skilled Nursing Facility, is considered to be one of the largest nursing facilities within the Continuing Care Retirement Community industry. Its 148 beds are divided among three floors with the majority in private rooms. One floor is a secure environment exclusively devoted to the care of residents with Alzheimer’s disease and other illnesses related to memory impairment.

We are recognized for our professional and compassionate staff whose remarkable history of longevity gives residents a sense of comfort and security. They constantly help support our residents and their families in their desire to maintain as much independence as possible.

Supportive Services

  • Our social workers are responsible for keeping the lines of communication open with our residents’ families or friends.
  • Supportive Services also offers support to family and friends in times of need and encourages them to take part in the resident’s care by attending regularly scheduled care plan meetings.
  • A “Caregivers Support Group” gives those dealing with similar issues relevant to the adjustment of new surroundings, separation from family, and special issues relevant to dementia related illnesses a chance to share their experiences with each other

  • Menus are placed at each resident’s table to encourage them to make choices.
