We have a distinct advantage over most other communities in that we completely manage our own Dining program.  By doing so, we have far more flexibility in menu choices that enable our Executive Chef, a graduate of The Culinary Institute of America, to display his culinary skills.

In addition to our excellent chef, we have a very experienced and knowledgeable Director of Dining Services as well as a full-time Registered Dietitian, all of whom work together planning our meals and always striving to enhance our residents’ dining experience.

We are proud of our four outstanding dining rooms that offer our residents different atmospheres in which to dine.  We also provide a take-out meal service for those who wish to dine in the comfort of their own home.

Our Fireside Café, designed for those residents who wish to dress casually for meals, is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  Whether you prefer a hearty or light breakfast, our menu covers all the bases.  For lunch and dinner, choose from a selection of freshly cooked meats and fish, delicious vegetables, and hot, tasty homemade soups.  Save room for our mouthwatering desserts! 

For your convenience, our Fireside Café also contains a Deli where items such as milk, bread, eggs, and sandwiches can be purchased throughout the day. 

For a more formal dining experience, our Shearer Room is open for evening meals and the noon meal on Sundays.  Residents are required to dress in more formal attire when enjoying the elegant surroundings provided by our Shearer Room. 

Our newest addition, the Terrace Room, was built to accommodate our ever-growing population.  It is located next to our Fireside Café and offers a lavish setting with a casual dress code.  It is open for dinner and the noon meal on Sundays. 

Our private dining room, the Sheffield Room, is designed to seat 25 people comfortably.  It is tasteful in style and a popular place for private dinners and parties.  Our own Executive Chef is regularly asked to help plan the menu and prepare his delicious specialties for their luncheons and dinners.  There is no limit to what he can prepare for you. 

Our uniformed wait staff is on hand to go the extra mile to assist you when needed and to also provide full wait service during our dinner meals.

One of the many services included in our Monthly Fee is “three meals daily”.  We are one of the only Continuing Care Retirement Communities to offer this type of service.  Meal credits are available if you wish to take fewer meals, but we prefer you take advantage of our three meals a day so that you receive the proper nutrition you need to live a healthy lifestyle.
