How will this move change my lifestyle? We don’t ask you to change your lifestyle, just your address. The way you live your life is your decision and there are no limitations on what you can do here. Considering all we have to offer, don’t be surprised to find that your lifestyle has been improved by your move to Cathedral Village. Do I have to stop working when I move in? Absolutely not! Many of our current residents still work full-time or part-time jobs. You are encouraged to do whatever pleases you. The choice is yours. I’m still very active and independent; why not wait a little longer to move? One of the most frequently repeated statements made by our residents is “I wish I would have made the move sooner. I feel like I’m living at a resort.” If I move now, how can I be sure I'll be able to afford Cathedral Village in years to come? All communities require a disclosure of your finances. The analysis includes projected rate increases and estimated personal expenses. Once you have been approved and your contract has been signed, you will never be asked to leave Cathedral Village for any reason whatsoever. We have signed a Lifetime agreement with you. What is the average age of residents at Cathedral Village? There is no “average” age, only a minimum age of 65 required to live here.
What are the most important things I should look for in a retirement community? By reading this web site, you will get the answer to this question. Everything we offer is considered “most important”, especially the services included in our Monthly Service Fee. Although they may not all appeal to you right now, keep in mind that no one knows what the future may bring, and some of those services may become very important to you. What services are covered under the monthly fee? We are proud of our extensive Type A contract that includes many services covered under our monthly fee. We offer three meals daily, weekly housekeeping and linen service, 24 hour security, 24 hour nursing care in the Outpatient Department, unlimited skilled nursing (whether temporary or permanent), a generous annual prescription allowance, on-site physicians and specialists, transportation to medical appointments and local shopping centers, on-site rehabilitation therapy, 24 hour maintenance service, unlimited use of our Health Club and Greenhouse, all utilities except telephone and Cable TV, snow removal and lawn care, and city real estate taxes.
Are you an accredited community? Yes. Cathedral Village is a Continuing Care Retirement Community accredited by CARF-CCAC since 1984. We are among the less than 1% of elite communities that have been accredited five times.
How can I apply to become a resident at Cathedral Village? All you have to do is give us a call and we will happily send you an application along with our brochure. You are also welcome to stop in at any time and pick up an application and brochure from our front desk that is staffed 24 hours a day.
